Preschool & Kindergarten
... a true alternative in preschool education for children and their families.
For over forty years we have enrolled thousands of children in our preschool and elementary programs.
Parents are more than the people who" Pay the Bills.” Their importance to the child cannot be over estimated. Changes in a family affect the child’s behavior. We take into account those special pressures that affect the child and the family. In this way the family and the school are more integrated.

The Day Care Program
Opened its doors in 1979 as a pre-school in 1982 evolved the elementary school component of our program. NICL is not a new organization, but has a proven concept in childcare and education. We motivate, initiate, and implement programs that involve the family in the development of the preschooler. Met on his own level the child is challenged to grow intellectually, emotionally and socially.
Our program is designed to accommodate preschoolers between the ages of 2 to 4 years of age. Our programs are planned to meet the social, emotional and intellectual needs of each preschooler.
The child learns about the world around him through his senses: seeing, hearing, feeling, tasting, smelling and thru his kinesthetic senses. Play lies at the heart of our day care center curriculum. It makes a major contribution to the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of the preschoolers. The development of skills and competencies are promoted largely through play supported by a variety of materials and a wide range of experiences. Under the guidance of our teachers who understand and value play as an avenue for learning, we feel play is the business of childhood.
We believe our objectives for play will protect the preschooler from the inhibiting effects of an inferior early educational experience.
Children play to learn and learn to use their bodies to cope with physical work as they play.
They also explore, investigate and solve problems. Play allows a child to try out possibilities with materials, find new uses for objects, arrange, combine and pretend.
As preschoolers play, they practice and develop many types of skills including building relationships with other preschoolers.
Our teachers nurture the child’s curiosity and drive to explore and discover. Our staff is ready to provide the materials and suggestions needed to enable the preschooler to solve the problems he meets in play. This contributes to the development of skills needed in other learning situations.
